Merchant Taylors’ and Merchant Taylors’ Prep bring their own personalities to a shared heritage. We created two bespoke websites that express each school’s individuality while reinforcing their connection.
The homepage brings to life Merchant Taylors’ refreshed brand identity, clearly articulating their commitment to producing bright, confident and creative young adults who are both ‘interested and interesting’.
Our design solution centred around the concept “Handmade, for you,” embodying the bespoke nature of a Merchant Taylors’ education. This tactile theme is interwoven throughout the site, subtly echoing the school’s tailored approach to character development and serving as a compelling visual metaphor for the rich fabric of the school community.
This forward-facing approach not only provides a unique and heritage-rich aesthetic but also balances tradition with a modern, seamless user experience. The design motifs draw the eye and guide the user through the site, creating a sense of personal connection that feels distinctly crafted, rather than manufactured.
Built with flexibility at the core
Recognising the critical nature of the admissions journey, we crafted a series of tailored landing pages, each designed to guide prospective families seamlessly towards booking a visit and subsequently registering. These pages feature streamlined forms and precise messaging, ensuring a frictionless experience that feels personal to every visitor. Optimised for speed and performance, they ensure the digital welcome is as impressive as the physical one, supporting the continued growth of the school community.
Merchant Taylors’ is also empowered by the interwoven flexibility of the new site architecture. We delivered a solution that allows the school to evolve the website independently, ensuring their digital presence remains as forward-facing as the education they provide.
