TWK Web Design Inspiration – 28 September 2016

Welcome to our regular roundup of web design and development inspiration. Here’s a selection of sites that have impressed us recently here at The Web Kitchen…

THE HIDDEN WORLDS OF NATIONAL PARKS

A breathtaking and interactive guide through some of the world’s most stunning national parks. Brilliant use of video, narration and 360° photography makes for one exciting adventure!

G STAR RAW

gstarfamily
This awesome website for Dutch fashion powerhouse G-Star Raw features both a film and a section called ‘Meet the Family’. The latter features a clever and interactive way of introducing important members of their brand, while showing off various clothing items at the same time. We love the slight motion blur when you move between the members!

OFFF ITALIA

Horizontal scrolling. There are probably as many people who like it as there are who dislike it. Whether you like it or not, you have to admit that the little red and white dot is a clever and well-executed way to navigate through the images!

BRAMLEY & GAGE FRUIT LIQUEURS

Fruity, flavourful and full of life! We love the gorgeous artwork and animations as you scroll through these liqueurs. Nice detail in the hover effects on the left, and the slide out shopping cart is beautifully minimalistic. Cheers to that!

VODAFONE POWERFUL CONNECTIONS

vodafoneconnections
Vodafone show what their services mean to normal, everyday people with this website. The site features cool transitions, for example the way images fill the screen after clicking on them, and the previous/next buttons when viewing a story.

TOASTER – CARTELLE

Before we toast to the weekend, let’s toast to toast! This fun little page serves no real purpose, but we just love to watch that toast fly through the air! Toast physics are definitely on point!

ED STAFFORD

edstafford
Apart from being awesome at surviving, Ed Stafford has a pretty sweet website too! Featuring a fully interactive survival challenge, and cleverly placed text and cutouts deliver a dynamic perspective!
