Quodo – the marketplace for learning

We’ve recently been commissioned to design and build Quodo – the marketplace for learning. Quodo lets merchants market ‘learning’ services, and for customers to discover, book and pay for these services. The site will focus initially on London and then branch out to other areas in the UK.

Quodo puts the ‘fun’ back into learning – we’re not talking boring academic subjects, but about learning life-enhancing skills, hobbies and experiences. You won’t find Quodo in the classroom but at the top of the climbing wall, or in the kitchen learning how to cook a curry, or strumming new chords on the guitar.

Quodo is focused on creating new inventory, rather than disrupting current offerings. Quodo allows professional skills to be pushed that bit further. Want to improve your Spanish? Meet Alicia – a Spanish teacher in the day who offers language courses in the evening over delicious tapas. Quodo also harnesses the huge economic resource of people’s hidden skills. Meet John – the graphic designer who performs incredible evening cookery demos in ‘French Peasant Cooking’. Forget flogging across town, Alicia and John live round your corner! Even better, why not sell your talents – share your language, cookery, sporting skills, musical prowess, design wizardry, it skills, floristry or brickwork!

Quodo is still under construction but you can register for more info or as a beta tester at www.quodo.com.
