Firefly Tonics make healthy drinks that actually do something! The company was founded in 2003 as a response to the highly caffeinated and sugary energy drinks so popular at the time.  Their distinctively coloured drinks (Wake Up, De-tox, Chill Out, Sharpen Up, Health Kick) are also delicious! You can now get Firefly in the finest cafés, delis, hotels and foodhalls in over 30 countries.

Firefly wanted a site with

• Better navigation –more “walk through”–so people explore more on the site
• More sophisticated, up-to-date look
• More interactivity
• More depth of information
• More facility for Firefly to update directly –so we can keep it up to date

They wanted a look that says

• Simple & Natural
• Sophisticated
• Intelligent
• Upbeat
• Interactive/ involving

Splitting the site content into 'elements' which can be arranged in a variety of layouts gives the site a very distinctive style, and is far away from the boring template layouts that most sites use. The background gives the site a warm and upbeat feel. This is something that could be easily changed to sand, grass, or such like that will keep the site looking fresh.

The site is built using the Typo3 Content Management System, and makes it easy for Firefly to update directly. We built custom 'wizards' to easily make the different types of content: accordians, flash slideshows, roll-over teasers etc. Equally, the layout can be easily changed.

We also built a Competition System, which allows users to upload their own images and view them on the bottle of their choice.
